Brown to Julius Deutsch, EA to Minister of Citizenship Elaine Ziemba about OHRC complaint concerning Ontario ODI

$0.00

Letter indicating willingness to settle complaint against Ontario Office for Disability Issues (ODI) through OHRC early settlement initiative process, as had been done with complaint against the Ottawa Carleton Regional District Health Council. (The ODI had refused to provide reasonable accommodation by holding a meeting by telephone instead of insisting that environmentally sensitive advocate travel into (polluted) Toronto and meet in ODI office, where there were many complaints about air quality. The meeting was requested by Brown as President of the Ottawa Branch of a consumer group to discuss how deceit in the Ministry of Health was contributing to financial damages, injury and deaths. Deutsch eventually met in Ottawa, but dishonesty in the Rae government was not ended, nor did the Minister of Citizenship or her department ever act to protect persons with this disability.
