P. Truman, Sanitizing the truth, 1991.
Journalists leave out the worst abuses, most serious issues when covering stories. Veteran journalist makes the general case. When asked in 1991, why Ontario physicians continue to abuse and kill persons with sensitivities, Associate OMA Director John Krauser said it was most likely because they did not realize the extent of damages their actions were causing. When OMR published letter from consumer rep, they redacted the serious harm being caused, limiting the expression of concern to vagueness that appeared to be only hurt feelings.
