We later learn more about John Piper's corrupt person from the New York Times: "The Premier's press adviser, John Piper, 49, a former executive with the giant public relations firm, Hill & Knowlton, quit after trying to discredit a woman who was charging sexual misconduct by a former Cabinet minister. Mr. Piper had offered to leak the woman's criminal record to a reporter from The Toronto Sun." Needless to say, something as embarrassing as the abuse and killing of disabled persons was stuffed under the carpet, while Grier and her staff eclipsed it behind a legitimate but separate debate about the ideas of "doctors of environmental medicine." |
